Leeds bid €26 million for Strasbourg’s Habib Diarra

Football News

Leeds United have reportedly made a €26 million offer for RC Strasbourg Alsace captain Habib Diarra, aged 21.

Sources indicate that unlike last summer, Strasbourg is now open to selling the midfielder, who is under contract until 2028, provided a significant bid is received.

Although Aston Villa and Stade Rennais were previously rumoured to be interested, Leeds appears to be the first club to engage in serious negotiations for the Senegalese international. Strasbourg is expected to evaluate the market`s reaction to Leeds` proposal before making a decision.

This move comes as Leeds prepares for its return to the Premier League, having secured promotion by winning the 2024/25 Championship title after narrowly missing out in the previous season`s playoff final loss to Southampton FC.
