Le Havre AC Completes Sale to American Firm Blue Crow

Football News

Le Havre AC`s sale to American firm Blue Crow has been confirmed by the current owner, Vincent Volpe.

The acquisition of the Normandy club was widely anticipated. Blue Crow attended the recent DNCG meeting with Volpe on Tuesday, during which the deal was concluded. Volpe confirmed the agreement is signed and is pending ratification from the DNCG.

Blue Crow already holds ownership stakes in several clubs, including Leganés in Spain and Cancun in Mexico. Following a mid-season review by the DNCG, Le Havre`s wage budget was subjected to rigorous examination, and controls imposed by the DNCG significantly curtailed the club`s ability to sign new players.

Despite this, “Les Ciel et Marines” successfully retained their Ligue 1 status. It is anticipated that under the new ownership, these financial restrictions may be eased ahead of the upcoming top-flight season.
