Lazio has turned down an offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for left-back Nuno Tavares. The player has recently attracted interest from several other clubs.
Al-Hilal, now managed by Simone Inzaghi (who recently left Inter), is searching for a new left-back and has been looking at potential players in Italy`s Serie A.
The Saudi club previously made a substantial offer to AC Milan for full-back Theo Hernandez, proposing €30 million plus a significant annual salary of €20 million for the player. However, this attempt did not succeed and the transfer is currently off.
Angelino from Roma has also been discussed as another potential target for Al-Hilal.
Lazio Rejects €30m Offer for Nuno Tavares
However, Al-Hilal recently submitted a formal bid for Nuno Tavares, reportedly worth €30 million in total, comprising an initial fee of €25 million along with potential bonuses and add-ons. Lazio, however, rejected this proposal.
Currently, Lazio (known as the Biancocelesti) is reluctant to consider offers for the former Arsenal full-back. Tavares had a strong first season in Italy, earning a nomination for Serie A defender of the year.
Al-Hilal is not the only club that has made an offer for Nuno Tavares recently, but Lazio continues to be unwilling to enter negotiations.
