Kvaratskhelia: ‘PSG don’t need my help’ to prepare Inter final’

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia commented on PSG`s preparations for the upcoming Champions League final against Inter, stating he can only highlight how formidable Inter is. However, he is confident that neither coach Luis Enrique nor his teammates require his specific guidance to get ready for the crucial match.

The 24-year-old forward joined Paris Saint-Germain in January after spending two and a half seasons with Napoli. During his time in Serie A, he faced the Nerazzurri multiple times. Initially, Napoli finished second behind Inter in the Scudetto race under Luciano Spalletti, and the following season saw Inter clinch the title.

Despite his firsthand experience against Simone Inzaghi`s squad, Kvaratskhelia doesn`t believe he possesses unique insights that would be particularly helpful to PSG in their final clash, set to take place in Munich.

Kvaratskhelia: `I know how strong Inter are, but PSG need no advice from me`

“They don`t need my help—they watch the games and they`re better than me,” Kvaratskhelia told Sky Sport Italia during a media day event at PSG. “I can share a few things since I`ve played against them so many times; I know how strong they are.”

Since his arrival in Ligue 1, the Georgia international has made a significant impression, contributing six goals and five assists across 22 appearances in both the league and the Champions League.

His strong performances played a part in PSG reaching the final, an accomplishment he admits he did not anticipate achieving so early in his professional career.

“It`s been a very long journey,” Kvaratskhelia reflected. “I`ve overcome difficult moments, and that`s hugely important in a footballer`s career. I`ll always carry Georgia with me—it gave me everything, it helped me.”

He expressed pride in his Georgian heritage and a desire to support fellow players from his country, noting the challenges Georgian footballers face in establishing themselves in top European leagues.

Kvaratskhelia concluded, “When I signed, I never imagined I`d reach a Champions League final so quickly. I`m happy to be here and to have this opportunity—it`s like a dream.”
