Kevin De Bruyne’s Napoli Transfer: Medical Date Set

Football News

Sources indicate Kevin De Bruyne is scheduled to arrive in Italy by the end of the current week to finalize his move to Napoli, including undergoing a medical examination and completing the necessary paperwork.

Medical Scheduled for Thursday

Confirmation has been received that De Bruyne is expected in Naples on Thursday for his final appointments ahead of officially joining the club.

While a slight delay is possible, the medical is still anticipated to be completed before the week concludes.

The required contracts have reportedly been signed. All that remains are the final procedural steps for his transfer to the Stadio Maradona. The club has been optimistic about his arrival since May 7.

The Belgian midfielder, who recently scored an 88th-minute goal in a thrilling 4-3 World Cup qualifier win against Wales on Monday, is expected to sign an initial two-year contract with an option for an extra year.

De Bruyne`s wife has reportedly visited Naples previously to explore potential homes and schools for their three children.

He is set to join Napoli, the recently crowned Scudetto winners under the management of Antonio Conte, on a free transfer after his contract with Manchester City expires. De Bruyne spent ten years at City, winning six Premier League titles and their historic first Champions League trophy.

The Belgian could potentially be Napoli`s first acquisition of the summer transfer window, although the club is also reportedly close to securing 20-year-old defender Luca Marianucci from Empoli.
