Inzaghi: ‘Experience Provides Inter With Advantage Ahead of 2025 Champions League Final, Now It’s Up to Us’

Football News

Simone Inzaghi believes Inter Milan`s recent experience in the Champions League Final will be a significant advantage against Paris Saint-Germain. He stated, “We are just one small step away now, it all depends on us.”

The highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place at the Munich Football Arena.

This upcoming final marks Inzaghi`s second appearance with Inter in the Champions League showpiece in just three seasons. Their previous final in 2023 saw them narrowly defeated 1-0 by Manchester City in Istanbul, a game that proved much more competitive than many had predicted.

While Inter`s squad remains largely unchanged from their 2023 final appearance, giving them valuable recent experience, Paris Saint-Germain are still seeking their first Champions League title. Furthermore, Marquinhos is the only player in the current PSG squad who started their most recent final in 2020.

Inzaghi commented on this disparity, saying, “Experience is definitely beneficial. We understand what`s required for this kind of match. There`s just one hurdle left, and we aim to deliver a strong performance.”

When asked about his final pre-match address to the team, Inzaghi stated, “I`ll decide in the moment. More important than the final words is the journey we`ve taken together. It`s been an excellent path, and we`re now at the final stage.`”

Paris Saint-Germain arrive having already secured a domestic treble this season, winning Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France. For Inter, however, failure to win the Champions League would mean ending their campaign without a major trophy.
