Inter has completed the signing of Luis Henrique. The Brazilian winger from Marseille, born in 2001, had been a long-standing target for the club, part of their strategy to anticipate the transfer window opening ahead of the Club World Cup. He arrived in Milan on June 2nd to join his new team.
Who is De Zerbi`s Favorite?
Born in December 2001 in Joao Pessoa, the largest city in Brazil`s Paraíba state, Luis Henrique developed in the youth system of Botafogo. He made a significant impact this season after being introduced to the first team by Roberto De Zerbi, who quickly saw the player`s potential and favored him. Under De Zerbi`s guidance, Luis Henrique shone brightly, scoring goals and providing numerous assists across Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France.
Where He Plays
Regarding his playing style and position, Luis Henrique can operate as an inverted winger on the left flank. However, he is versatile enough to play on the right side in a midfield line, or even as a wing-back in formations like 3-4-2-1 or 3-5-2. His contract with Marseille was set to expire in June 2028. He initially moved to Europe in 2020 for a fee of €8 million. Following a year and a half loan spell back at Botafogo, he became a regular member of the French club`s squad from December 2023.
