AC Milan`s sporting director, Igli Tare, has commented on reports linking star forward Rafael Leão with a potential transfer to Bayern Munich.
“Leão is a top player. He is a key player for Milan and our project. Rafa will continue to be a crucial part of our plans,” Tare stated. Regarding Bayern, he added: “We have not received any offers yet. These are currently just rumors circulating in the media,” Fabrizio Romano quoted Tare on social network X.
Earlier reports suggested that the 25-year-old Portuguese player had informed the Milan club of his intention to leave.
In the 2024/25 season, Leão participated in 50 matches across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists. The player`s current contract with Milan is valid until June 30, 2028.
