First 2025 Napoli Signing: Marianucci Set for Imminent Medical

Football News

Napoli is on the verge of completing their initial signing for the upcoming 2025 season, with Empoli defender Luca Marianucci slated for a medical examination very soon.

The 20-year-old Italian central defender is anticipated to undergo tests with the Serie A champions within the next 48 hours.

According to reports, Napoli will disburse €9 million to acquire the player from Empoli, a club that was relegated to Serie B at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.

Marianucci made his Serie A debut during the past season under coach Roberto D’Aversa, appearing in 24 matches across all competitions for Empoli and contributing two assists.

Further Defensive and Attacking Targets for Napoli

Looking ahead to the 2025-26 campaign, Napoli is also exploring other defensive options, with Bologna`s Sam Beukema identified as a target.

Additionally, the Partenopei have opened discussions regarding Bologna`s prominent winger Dan Ndoye. They also retain interest in Federico Chiesa and Mattia Zaccagni, indicating an intention to bring in two new wide players during the summer 2025 transfer window.

These strategic moves follow a successful 2024-25 season for Napoli, in which they secured the Serie A title and successfully convinced Antonio Conte to remain as the head coach for the next season.
