According to reports from L’Équipe, Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe has submitted a bid of €15 million to Paris Saint-Germain in an effort to secure the permanent transfer of Marco Asensio this summer. The 29-year-old Spanish international currently has one year remaining on his contract with the club based at the Parc des Princes.
Asensio originally joined PSG on a free transfer from Real Madrid last summer. During the 2024/25 campaign, he was sent on loan to Aston Villa in the Premier League, where he enjoyed a productive spell, netting 8 goals and providing 1 assist in 21 appearances. Despite this successful period, it is understood that he is not considered part of manager Luis Enrique’s plans for the forthcoming season.
With PSG reportedly open to facilitating his departure, the ultimate decision regarding the move now rests with Asensio himself. Fenerbahçe`s manager, José Mourinho, is said to be actively trying to persuade the winger to make the switch to Istanbul. The Turkish club is also reportedly engaged in discussions with the Ligue 1 champions concerning a potential permanent deal for defender Milan Škriniar, whose contract in Paris runs until 2028.
