Reports from L`Équipe indicate that Lens defender Facundo Medina, aged 26, favors a transfer to Marseille this summer, despite interest from other clubs including Bayer Leverkusen. Although his contract runs until 2028, he is anticipated to depart the Ligue 1 side if a satisfactory bid is submitted during the current transfer window.
Lens values the Argentine international at €25 million. The club has not yet received any official bids for the 26-year-old. Nevertheless, several teams are keen on signing Medina, and he has reportedly made Roberto De Zerbi`s Marseille his preferred destination for a potential move this summer.
Medina is said to have discussed joining Marseille with his Argentina teammate Leonardo Balerdi, who already plays for OM. Marseille is also interested in the defender, suggesting mutual desire for the transfer. However, any potential deal is unlikely to be finalized before early July due to financial and administrative considerations.
