According to reports from L`Équipe, Lens defender Facundo Medina, aged 26, reportedly favors a potential transfer to Marseille this summer, despite interest from other clubs such as Bayer Leverkusen. Although his current contract runs until 2028, the Argentine international is anticipated to depart the Ligue 1 club if a satisfactory offer is received during the current transfer window.
Lens, also known as Les Sang et Or, have set a valuation of €25 million for the centre-back. While the Artois-based club has not yet received a formal bid for the 26-year-old, several clubs are reportedly keen on signing him. Medina himself has reportedly given priority to joining Roberto De Zerbi`s side, hoping to complete a move to Olympique de Marseille before the summer transfer period concludes.
Medina has reportedly discussed the potential move to Les Phocéens with his Argentina teammate, Leonardo Balerdi, who is already at Marseille. The interest between Medina and Marseille is said to be mutual. However, any potential transfer is currently not expected to be finalized until early July, due to existing financial and administrative considerations.
