Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly on the verge of a verbal agreement to sign 20-year-old midfielder Noël Aséko. The German youth international, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Hannover in the 2. Bundesliga, has attracted attention from Frankfurt. The club is confident they can secure his signature despite interest from other clubs outside of Germany.
However, a potential obstacle for Eintracht, also known as Die Adler, is Bayern Munich’s interest in integrating Aséko into their squad for the upcoming season. Bayern are yet to make a final decision on whether to sell the versatile player. Aséko’s ability to play as a defensive midfielder, right midfielder, and right wing-back makes him an attractive prospect for the Bavarian club.
Should Bayern decide to part ways with the German player, they are expected to demand a transfer fee in the range of €10 million to €12 million. The existing strong relationship between Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, and his counterpart at Eintracht, Markus Krösche, is anticipated to facilitate smooth negotiations between the two clubs.
