Embracer-owned Eidos-Montréal continues to navigate a turbulent period, marked by recurring layoffs and project cancellations over the past several years. The studio recently experienced another significant wave of job cuts, impacting approximately 124 employees, coinciding with the departure of studio head David Anfossi. This latest reduction in workforce is reportedly a direct consequence of the cancellation of an “almost complete” open-world game, further clouding the developer’s future prospects.
