Damien Comolli has announced his departure from French club Toulouse FC. Reports indicate he has agreed to join Italian Serie A side Juventus.
The former Sporting Director at Liverpool FC informed Toulouse staff this Wednesday that he would be stepping down as head of the Ligue 1 club. Comolli took charge at Toulouse in 2020 following the takeover by RedBird Capital Partners. Under his leadership as president, Toulouse achieved promotion back to Ligue 1 in 2022. The following year, the team won the Coupe de France, which secured them a place in the Europa League for the subsequent season.
During Comolli`s tenure, Toulouse successfully established themselves in Ligue 1. His performance at the French club has apparently attracted the attention of Juventus, who are reported to have reached an agreement to appoint him as their new sporting advisor. Having already left his position at Toulouse, he is anticipated to begin his new role imminently, starting in June.
