Damien Comolli Agrees Juventus Move

Football News

Damien Comolli has announced his departure from Toulouse FC. Reports indicate he has reached an agreement to join Italian Serie A club Juventus.

Comolli, who previously served as Sporting Director at Liverpool FC, informed staff at the Ligue 1 club on Wednesday that he would be stepping down from his role as president. He initially took charge at Toulouse in 2020 following the takeover by RedBird Capital Partners. Under his leadership, the club achieved promotion back to Ligue 1 in 2022 and subsequently won the Coupe de France the following year, securing a place in the Europa League.

During his tenure, Toulouse successfully established their position in the top French league. His effective work at the club has seemingly attracted the interest of Juventus, who are reported to have agreed terms to appoint him as their new sporting advisor. Having already left his post at Toulouse, Comolli is expected to begin his duties with the Italian giants shortly, starting from June.
