Conte “Dribbles” Juventus Question: “Hard to Find Napoli’s Enthusiasm Elsewhere”

Football News

Antonio Conte, the coach of Italian champions Napoli, spoke to the Rai microphones during the city`s celebration for their fourth league title. Looking back on the year since the phrase “amma faticà” (we have to work hard), he said, “A year has passed since `amma faticà`; we worked very hard and managed to fulfill a dream. Seeing all the fans in the square celebrating the Scudetto is something extraordinary; it repays us for all the sacrifices made this year.”

He commented on the special connection with the city: “It`s difficult not to create one; it`s a passionate city rich in enthusiasm. It`s a city that gives everything and also demands a lot. I think we gave them what we had, and today they are repaying us with this extraordinary affection that you truly have to experience to understand its meaning.”

Describing the feeling of victory, Conte stated, “It`s always about winning; you work to do something beautiful and give these days and feelings to us who work, but above all, to the fans. I am truly very happy; celebrating the Scudetto in Naples is really something extraordinary.”

Regarding Inter: On the title race head-to-head with Inter, Conte remarked, “Honor to those who won, but also to Inter, because we beat a great team that had an extraordinary year and has the chance to win the Champions League on Saturday. This makes us even more honorable.”

On the Future: Asked if it`s difficult to separate from all this, Conte concluded, “This enthusiasm and this passion, I think, are something extraordinary, and you can hardly find it everywhere.”
