Official: Tudor confirmed as Juventus head coach for 2025-26

`ROME,
ROME, ITALY – MAY 10: Igor Tudor, Head Coach of Juventus, looks on prior to the Serie A match between SS Lazio and Juventus at Stadio Olimpico.

The Croatian coach was appointed in March to replace Thiago Motta, and his contract was automatically extended until 2026 after the team successfully secured qualification for the Champions League.

However, Juventus held an option to terminate the coach’s contract by paying a fee of €1 million before July 31, 2025. Reports also suggested the club had previously engaged in discussions with other potential candidates, including Antonio Conte and Gian Piero Gasperini.

Despite these circumstances, Comolli explicitly confirmed that Tudor would continue to lead the team in the new campaign.

“I can confirm Tudor will be the coach for the next campaign, beyond the Club World Cup,” Comolli stated.

Comolli has an extensive background in football, having held various positions including Chief Scout and President at different clubs.

What Comolli said about Tudor

Former Toulouse President Damien Comolli, now with Juventus.

As a former President of Toulouse, Comolli recalled facing Tudor when the latter was in charge of Marseille in Ligue 1.

“The year Tudor was at Marseille beat us twice,” Comolli reminisced.

“We laughed about this. I told him: ‘Do you remember what I told you after those games?’ There weren’t many coaches who could keep that intensity and mental strength, and he remembered it.

“He did exceptional work at Marseille; their intensity and mental strength were outstanding that season.”
