Bournemouth Defender Senesi Attracts Interest from Italy and Spain

Marcos Senesi playing football for Bournemouth

Bournemouth`s Argentine defender Marcos Senesi is being closely watched by Italian clubs Juventus and Roma, as well as Spanish side Real Sociedad.

With his current contract due to expire in June 2026, a transfer during the upcoming summer window is anticipated. Senesi joined Bournemouth from Feyenoord in 2022 for a fee of €15 million.

This past season, his playing time was limited to just 19 competitive appearances due to a serious thigh injury. This injury kept him out of action for four months, from December 2024 until April 2025.

Senesi is reportedly seeking a new challenge elsewhere. Interest has been reported from Roma, Juventus, and Villarreal. However, Roma faces challenges due to their financial situation and the necessity to sell players to meet Financial Fair Play requirements, making them a less likely destination. Juventus is also considering other potential defensive targets. This suggests that a move to Spain, with Real Sociedad and Villarreal linked, might be a more probable outcome for the 28-year-old player.
