Bournemouth Agree Personal Terms with Rennes Left-Back Adrien Truffert

Football News

AFC Bournemouth have successfully reached an agreement on personal terms with 23-year-old Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert.

The Cherries are actively seeking reinforcements in the left-back position. This comes as Hungarian international Milos Kerkez is widely reported to be nearing a €47 million transfer to Liverpool.

Rennes initially turned down Bournemouth`s bid of €12 million for Truffert. However, there is confidence from all parties involved that a deal can ultimately be struck.

Truffert is entering the final year of his contract. Rennes are open to the departure of their captain this summer, provided their valuation is met. A compromise on the transfer fee is anticipated, likely falling within the range of €15 million to €20 million.

The Belgium-born France U23 international has already agreed personal terms with Andoni Iraola`s squad.

Should the transfer proceed, Truffert would be the second full-back to leave Rennes in this window. Les Rouge et Noir are also set to complete the sale of Lorenz Assignon to VfB Stuttgart.

Consistent with many Ligue 1 clubs not participating in European competitions, Rennes are expected to streamline their squad before the summer transfer window concludes.
