According to reports from Germany’s leading football publication, Kicker, Bayern Munich is showing genuine interest in acquiring Newcastle United attacker Anthony Gordon on loan this summer. This attention from the German record champions indicates a serious pursuit of the 25-year-old for the Bundesliga.
Bayern is keen to strengthen their forward line for the next season. They are reportedly looking for at least one more attacking player, especially considering the potential departure of Michael Olise and concerns over Arijon Ibrahimovic’s development during his loan spell at Heidenheim.
Potential Loan Deal for Anthony Gordon
The structure of Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson’s loan deal, which aimed to avoid a permanent transfer, could be attractive to Newcastle. Although Chelsea may not receive a substantial transfer fee for the Senegalese international, they have already secured a record loan fee of €16.5 million. Newcastle, it is presumed, has no intention of selling their top goal scorer outright, making a loan a more palatable option.
While Kicker has not yet confirmed rumors about struggling German forward Nick Woltemade potentially joining Bayern on loan, such an agreement could benefit all parties involved. Woltemade and his agent were reportedly eager for a move to a major German club last summer but were blocked by Stuttgart.
