Young goalkeeper Guillaume Restes (20) has had a challenging season with his club, Toulouse FC. The French youth international initially gained significant attention with impressive displays, particularly in the UEFA Europa League during the 2023/24 campaign.
Despite this, Restes experienced inconsistency and was affected by minor injuries last season. Nevertheless, experts remain confident about his long-term development, and he is widely considered one of the most promising young goalkeepers in Europe, attracting interest from top clubs.
According to reports from L`Équipe, Bayern Munich is interested in the young keeper. The German champions see Restes as a potential long-term acquisition and have followed his progress since his emergence. However, a transfer this summer appears unlikely, with next summer being a more probable timeframe for Bayern to make a move.
Consequently, Restes might stay at Toulouse for the upcoming season. Another possibility is a transfer within France to Lille OSC. Lille has included Restes on their list of potential targets should their current goalkeeper, Lucas Chevalier, depart – Chevalier is reportedly being considered by Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa.
