Can you believe it? Atomfall, Rebellion’s distinctive survival game set in a post-apocalyptic 1950s rural England, is rapidly approaching its first anniversary. It barely feels like any time has passed since players first began their adventures, navigating the dangers of a uniquely British countryside.
To commemorate this significant milestone, the Atomfall development team has unveiled an intriguing set of player statistics from the past 12 months. These insights highlight not only the challenges players have faced in combat but also their remarkably consistent in-game dietary preferences, particularly a notable affection for Cornish pasties.
While many of the released statistics focus on the intense combat encounters within Atomfall’s version of Northern England, some numbers are particularly striking. Rebellion’s data indicates an astonishing total of 42.3 million player deaths. A significant portion of these, 15 percent, were directly caused by the formidable BARD robots, affecting 6.3 million individual players. Regarding weaponry, the humble bow and arrow surprisingly emerged as the most lethal, credited with an impressive 25.5 million kills.
Beyond the battlefield, the game’s community has demonstrated a remarkable collective appetite. Over the past year, Atomfall players collectively consumed more than 16.8 million Cornish pasties, alongside 2.2 million slices of cake. While specific data on tea consumption wasn’t provided, these figures paint a vivid picture of players balancing survival with a comforting taste of British culinary tradition.

Atomfall achieved significant success upon its debut last year, with Rebellion proudly declaring it their “most successful launch” to date. Shortly after its release, the studio announced that 1.5 million players had already joined the unique British-themed survival experience.
For those who haven’t yet ventured into Atomfall but are curious, early critical reception suggests a rewarding journey. The game has been praised for delivering “an intriguing tale worth discovering” for players willing to overcome an initially challenging start and who appreciate a streamlined approach to the survival genre.
