AS Monaco has been actively seeking a new goalkeeper since the current transfer window began, but the club is still yet to finalize a signing. The CEO of the Principality club, Thiago Scuro, shared an update on the situation during a recent press conference.
Numerous goalkeepers have been linked with potentially taking over the number one position at Monaco. The list of reported targets includes Lucas Perri from Olympique Lyonnais, Marc-André ter Stegen of Barcelona, Djordje Petrović from Chelsea, Manchester United`s André Onana, Vanja Milinković-Savić at Torino, David De Gea, and Ugurcan Çakir of Trabzonspor.
Regarding the search, Scuro commented on the difficulty in setting a precise date for when a new goalkeeper might arrive. He indicated that the club is actively working towards a signing, emphasizing that the high standards required make the process challenging. He also noted that the need for clubs to generate income presents a significant hurdle for many teams in Ligue 1. While unable to provide a specific timeframe, Scuro reiterated that they are focused on the goalkeeper situation and hope to bring in a new player once an agreement is reached.
