Angers Midfielder Jean-Eudes Aholou’s Contract Mutually Terminated

Football News

Angers SCO has confirmed the mutual termination of the contract belonging to their 31-year-old midfielder, Jean-Eudes Aholou.

Aholou, who initially joined the club in July 2023, departs after just a single season, despite having another year remaining on his deal. The agreement was reached between both the player and the club. Angers released an official statement acknowledging Aholou`s professionalism during his time there.

The midfielder began his career at Lille OSC but did not feature for their first team before moving to Orléans. Following two seasons there, he transferred to RC Strasbourg Alsace, marking the first of two separate periods with the club. Aholou arrived at Angers from Strasbourg, having not made an appearance for the latter side during the 2023-24 campaign.

On the international stage, Aholou has represented the Ivory Coast at both youth and senior levels. He earned his first senior cap in March 2018 and has since accumulated a total of seven appearances. He was recently included in the squad for their latest World Cup qualification matches.
