Veteran French forward Alexandre Lacazette, formerly of Lyon and Arsenal, has officially joined Saudi Pro League side Neom SC. The 34-year-old international has agreed to a two-year contract with the newly promoted club, which is set to be managed by former PSG coach Christophe Galtier. A product of the Lyon academy, Lacazette moved as a free agent following the expiration of the three-year deal he signed with his boyhood club in 2022.
Across his two tenures with Lyon, Lacazette registered an impressive 201 goals and 55 assists in 391 appearances for the team, known as Les Gones. At Neom, he is expected to reconnect with Saïd Benrahma, an Algerian international winger and former teammate from his time at Lyon. The Lyon-born striker successfully passed his medical examination for Neom last week. Reports also suggest that Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka is anticipated to make a move to the Saudi Pro League club.
