Saudi club Al-Hilal has reportedly made an enquiry with Aston Villa about midfielder Amadou Onana (23), according to a report by Sacha Tavolieri.
Tavolieri states that Al-Hilal sees the midfielder as a potential summer signing and has requested information from the Premier League club regarding a possible transfer. Onana is said to be open to a move to the Middle East, although discussions are still in the preliminary phase.
Aston Villa has not yet received a formal offer from Al-Hilal. Amadou Onana himself joined his current club from Everton just last summer. If Onana were to depart, it would be the fifth club of his brief career; he debuted for Hamburger SV in 2020, moved to Lille OSC in 2021, and then joined Everton the following year.
Al-Hilal aims to challenge for the Saudi Pro League title next season, having finished second this season, eight points behind champions Al-Ittihad.
