AC Milan are reportedly in discussions with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a potential transfer for forward Marco Asensio (29). According to French outlet L`Équipe, the Italian club has initiated talks with PSG over the possibility of a move.
The Spanish international has recently been strongly linked with a transfer to Turkey, following a €15 million bid submitted by José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe. However, Asensio is believed to prefer remaining in Europe rather than relocating to Turkey. La Liga side Villarreal has also shown interest in the player, although the financial demands of a potential deal might prove too costly for them.
The player is currently back with PSG this summer, after what was described as a successful loan spell at Aston Villa. During this reported stint in the Premier League, he registered eight goals and one assist in 21 appearances, including three goals in four matches in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League.
Asensio is reportedly taking time to evaluate all potential destinations and offers before making a final decision on his next step away from the Parisian club.
